There are some events that the church embarks on regularly and we refer to them as Special Events.
The following are our Special Events:
Every sunday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. we gather in the auditorium of Dominion Temple at the feet of God to be fed from His Word. We consider it a special event each sunday, since it is always a fresh opportunity to come before the Lord. Remember bible teaches us not to forsake the assembly of the brethen. It is always a pleasure to go to church as it is revealed by King David in the Book of Psalms when he said ” I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the House of the Lord”.
We have a declaration which we recite every Sunday at Church before the preaching of the word. This is to remind us about our authority and position in God as heirs and descendants of Abraham and so appropriate the Abrahamic blessings.
Teaching Service – Wednesdays:
2Timothy 2:15 reminds us to “study to show ourselves approved unto God”. Here one is afforded the opportunity to be taught, ask questions, share opinion and testimonies. We learn a lot here. It begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.
Half or All Night Prayer Meeting:
Half Night prayer occurs during the Winter seasons either in the Auditorium or on the prayer line (513-386-0000. Access Code 201147#) every last Friday of the month. Time is 9pm – 12am. All Night prayer takes place when the weather is warm; i.e. summer. It occurs every last Friday of the month from 9pm – 4am.
Holy Communion is served every first Sunday of a new month.
This is in obedience to the word of God in the Gospels that says we should always do this in remembrance of Him until He comes.
Baby dedications are on the third Sunday of every month. Forms are available on this website. You have to fill the form online or download and submit them at church, at the publications desk. Please these forms must be submitted well in advance of the event ( at least 2 weeks), so that the church calendar can be updated to include your event.
Annual Prayer & Fasting:
Every July is our annual prayer and fasting season dubbed Spiritual Emphasis. This is a time of rededication, surrender renewal, refreshment in the presence of the Lord whilst accessing spiritual strength, hope, faith and love from God. After these 31days of prayer and fasting, one receives a new perspectives of God, Church, family and life in general.
Friends & Family Annual Neighborhood Cook-Out:
This is our annual neighborhood cook-out event. It represent our summer barbecue to the cummunity we serve, as well as to friends, families and everyone else. Fun sports and games competitions are held and music for your dancing feet blurs at the background. The month of August is when we roll out this fun filled event. Every year the event grows bigger and has attracted audiences such as Cable News Stations and Healthcare organizations. A nice balance is created during the festivities to witness Christ to neighbors.
Water baptism is usually held in the summer months. One must have attended Discipleship and Membership classes to be baptized.
There is a membership class that is organized twice a year for new members. This classes help members to become rooted in their faith and to understand the basic tenets of the christian faith and how to live it as a way of life (christian culture) and the importance to tell others about their faith. One in the month of February and another in october. There are forms available to enroll in this class.
Lay leadership / Discipleship Training:
This is training for lay leaders. This is to equip the participant with tools of christian ministry and leadership. It is a requirement for leaders of cell groups (covenant families) in the various localities. This school begins in July. A pre-requisite for this type of training is the membership class. There are forms available to enroll in this class.
